Emmanuel Kiptoo Ng’olepus

Emmanuel Kiptoo Ng’olepus is a passionate advocate for sustainability, community empowerment, and climate justice, now serving as the Sustainable Travel Specialist for Roots & Peaks Expeditions. With a deep-rooted commitment to advancing eco-friendly tourism, Emmanuel ensures that each travel package supports local communities and aligns with global sustainability goals.

Hailing from a marginalized pastoralist community in Kenya, Emmanuel overcame significant odds to pursue his education, becoming an Agricultural Economist and a well-being ambassador. His dedication to education and advocacy led him to co-found Pads 4 Education, an organization that tackles period poverty and stigma while championing climate justice.

Emmanuel is an active climate activist, human rights defender, and mobilizer. His work has brought him to numerous local and international stages, including:

Representing Global South youth at COP28 in Dubai.

Participating in the Climate Justice Camp in Tanzania and Lebanon, uniting over 450 youths from 100+ countries.

Attending the Youth Participate National and International Conference, connecting young leaders from Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Denmark.

Engaging in Organization Mobilization and Organizing Training hosted by Civicus Alliance in Kenya.

At Roots & Peaks, Emmanuel brings his expertise in mobilization and social media influence to craft meaningful travel experiences that empower local economies, promote cultural exchange, and foster environmental stewardship.

Outside of his professional roles, Emmanuel is passionate about advancing girls’ and women’s rights through education and is an inspiring voice for global change.
